#1. Certa Law Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Scholarship

The Certa Law Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Scholarship is an award for any current or soon-to-be undergrad who have had their life altered due to a bodily injury from an automotive or pedestrian accident. Be it their own injury, that of a loved one, or an influential individual.

The Certa Law Internship Scholarship has a brief submission process, and applicants will be judged on their ability to convey the lasting effect an accident has had on their life.

#4. FashionForest Scholarship

The FashionForest Scholarship is awarded annually to researchers and students who are in need of support. This support must be for a theoretical or practical project in connection to education or work – or both.

The support for which this internship scholarship grant is needed must be for educational research or work. For instance, the Danish Defence Forces, the Scout Organisations, the health sector or within the humanitarian or artistic sphere or combinations of several academic or practical segments or topics.

The donors of the FashionForest Scholarship is FashionForest, who also carries out the selection of scholarship recipients. The FashionForest scholarship is awarded to researchers, students and former students at Danish and foreign educational institutions or members of the workforce.

Due to some special connections of the FashionForest scholarship, some research purposes, line of work and places of interest like for example South Korea can be assigned significant weight in the process of selection but all everyone are invited to apply. #6. Global Nomadic Scholarship

Global Nomadic offers a handpicked selection of ethical internships abroad, providing career-enhancing opportunities. The recipients of the Global Nomadic Scholarship will receive a $500 USD credit to be used for any of our programmes. The internship scholarship have also teamed up with partners – Global Travel Academy and World Nomads, to award a Certificate in International Volunteering, and a complimentary 2 weeks Travel Insurance.

The Key Thinkers Scholarship awards academically qualified students with a $2,500 USD Scholarship to one eligible recipient once every academic term (coinciding with the application schedule above), to one eligible recipient.

There will be a total of four (4) Recipients of the Scholarship per academic year. The sponsor (“MoneyKey”) offers the Scholarship to post-secondary students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. #8. IVHQ Volunteer of the Year Scholarship

International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) has begun accepting nominations for the Volunteer of the Year Scholarship. The internship scholarship program is celebrating the inspiring efforts of volunteers who have made important contributions to support the social and environmental development of communities around the world.

This year’s Volunteer of the Year Scholarship recipient will receive a 2 week volunteer abroad program with IVHQ in the destination of his/her choice. They’ll also receive a flight voucher from STA Travel (up to the value of US$1000), a 2-week travel insurance policy from World Nomads and the ‘Certificate in International Volunteering’ online course from Global Travel Academy.

It doesn’t matter whether nominees have volunteered locally or internationally, the sponsors want to celebrate those who have demonstrated exemplary commitments to supporting community projects on any continent.

Build Abroad is now accepting applications for the Build Abroad Travel Scholarship. This yearly internship scholarship will be awarded to one architecture student or recent graduate. It will give him/her the chance to take part in Build Abroad’s volunteer programs in one of their projects around the world.

Build Abroad’s mission is to build and repair communities across the world through socially responsible construction volunteering. This scholarship is offered in the memory of Kalyn Elizabeth Peterson whose life was cut tragically short in 2010. Kalyn leaves behind a legacy of promoting diversity and putting others’needs before her own.

From a young age, Kalyn volunteered her time at a major hospital and was involved in several other civic organizations. Recognized for her abilities to bring about the best in others, Kalyn’s talents to help others less fortunate will be memorialized through the recipient of this scholarship.

The award from this scholarship began in 2011 and is offered exclusively for participants enrolled in an ISA Service-Learning program.

The Kalyn Peterson Memorial Scholarships are financial need-based scholarships that assist students with the expenses of their ISA Service-Learning program abroad

#16. Live Like Ally Memorial Scholarship

ISA is offering internship scholarships for USD1000  to students who embody idea of the phrase “Live Like Ally”.

Ally is Allison Willen, a Junior at Eckerd College whose life tragically ended during a hiking trip in Mt. Aspiring National Park on ISA’s semester study abroad program in New Zealand. Ally had a contagious love for life, nature, community service, and adventure. Ally was a passionate volunteer in her community, always doing what she could to make the world a better place.

NSK Bearings Australia scholarships were introduced to enable Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Arts Honours students to familiarise themselves with the field of engineering in Japan. The scholarship is to be used towards either study abroad, research or an internship.

#21. Dawn Jolliffe Botanical Art Bursary

Established in June 2005, this bursary is to be awarded annually by the RHS Bursaries Committee in association with the RHS Picture Committee to assist a botanical artist to exhibit at one of the RHS shows, or to travel in order to paint and/or draw plants in their natural habitats. Preference will be given to artists who are not yet established. The value of the award will be up to a maximum of 1,000.

#22. Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants for U.S.A citizen. This Internship scholarship grant for USA undergraduate students of limited financial means aims to provide assistance to student to pursue academic studies abroad.

Such international study is intended to better prepare U.S. students to assume significant roles in an increasingly global economy and interdependent world. International experience is critically important in the educational and career development of American students, but it can also require a substantial financial investment.

The Gilman Scholarship Program broadens the student population that studies abroad by supporting undergraduates who might not otherwise participate due to financial constraints. The program aims to encourage students to choose non-traditional study abroad destinations, especially those outside of Western Europe and Australia.

Gilman Scholarship Program aims to support students who have been traditionally under-represented in study abroad, including but not limited to, students with high financial need, community college students, students in under-represented fields such as the sciences and engineering, students with diverse ethnic backgrounds, and students with disabilities. The program seeks to assist students from a diverse range of public and private institutions from all 50 states, Washington, DC and Puerto Rico.

Award recipients are chosen by a competitive selection process and must use the award to defray eligible study abroad costs. These costs include program tuition, room and board, books, local transportation, insurance and international airfare.

This congressional funded program is sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State and is administered by the Institute of International Education through its Southern Regional Center in Houston, TX.

#24. The Kloeck-Jenson Scholarship for Peace and Justice Internships

The Kloeck-Jenson Scholarship for Peace and Justice Internships was created to honor the memory of Scott Kloeck-Jenson, his wife, Barbara, and their two children, Zoe and Noah.

This internship scholarship was put into place to partially allay expenses for internships related to peace and social justice. It is meant to support and continue the courageous work to which Scott and Barbara dedicated their lives.

Kloeck-Jenson International Development Scholars is a program to support unpaid summer internships that promote international development and social justice. Funding for students is provided through the Kloeck-Jenson Endowment for Peace and Justice and administered through the Piper Center for Vocation and Career.

#25. Alicia Patterson Fellowship

The Alicia Patterson Foundation Program was established in 1965 in memory of Alicia Patterson, who was editor and publisher of Newsday for nearly 23 years before her death in 1963.

One-year and six month internship grants are awarded to working journalists to pursue independent projects of significant interest and to write articles based on their investigations for The APF Reporter, a quarterly magazine published by the Foundation and available on the web.

#26. Frederick Burkhardt Residential Fellowships for Recently Tenured Scholars

The Burkhardt Fellowship Program is open to recently tenured humanists scholars who will have begun their first tenured contracts by the application deadline but began their first tenured contracts no earlier than the fall 2004 semester or quarter.

An applicant must be employed in a tenured position at a degree-granting academic institution in the United States, remaining so for the duration of the fellowship. US citizenship or permanent residency is not required and previous supported research leaves do not affect eligibility for the Burkhardt Fellowship.

#27. The Andlinger Residency Exchange Program

The American Austrian Foundation awards fellowships to outstanding American and Austrian medical residents to participate in the Andlinger Residency Exchange Fellowship Program.

The Fellowship Program bears the name of Mr. Gerhard R. Andlinger, a successful American businessman with Austrian roots and a trustee of the AAF. Mr. Andlinger has generously supported this program since its inception.

Started in 1992, more than 100 medical residents from Austria and the United States have rotated through departments for one month. This bilateral exchange provides a minimum of two weeks up to a maximum of one months training for Austrian medical residents in the United States and for American medical residents in Austria at one of our partner institutions.

The program aims to supplement the residents education and to broaden his/her experience through exposure to a foreign healthcare system.

#28. EMGIP – Bundestag Internship

EMGIP (Emigre Memorial German Internship Program) offers internship opportunities for US and Canadian students in the German parliament, the Bundestag. The internships are two months long in positions matching the student’s interest and experience.

Interns will be placed within the Verwaltung, preferably with a Sekretariat working for their preferred Ausschuss. In addition to contributing to the respective offices, interns have the opportunity to study legislative and administrative procedures in the German parliament.

DAAD programs are helping to create goodwill and professional relationships that will help build a solid basis for relations between Germany and North America.

EMGIP internships were founded in 1965 by Professors Louise Holborn and George Romoser. They got immerse support from many scholars of German affairs, especially in the social sciences and contemporary history. German experts who are interested in encouraging the development of future generations also gave huge support.

In view of the contributions of German emigres, the experiential program was named Emigre Memorial German Internship Program.

#32. InterExchange Foundation Grant Program

The InterExchange Foundation Grant Program was established in 2006 to provide grants to young Americans who wish to help further cultural awareness through meaningful work abroad experiences.

Grant awards are intended to defray the costs of transportation, participation fees, travel insurance, housing, and meals related to a work, internship, or volunteer abroad program.

By providing financial assistance to eligible recipients, the InterExchange Foundation aims to do its part in encouraging young Americans to pursue work and life experiential programs abroad.

Recipients will be selected based on intent, with preference toward those with limited or no previous international travel experience and longer programs. Applicants may only apply for one InterExchange Grant at a time.

(EMGIP) is a fellowship program that provides American and Canadian students the opportunity to intern at the Landtage – German State Parliaments.

#34. Alfa Fellowship Program

The Alfa Fellowship Program is a high-level professional development exchange program placing qualified young professionals in work assignments at leading organizations in Russia in the fields of business, economics, journalism, law, and public policy.

The program accepts 10 American citizens and 5 British citizens per year. Key goals of the Alfa Fellowship Program are expanding networks of American, British and Russian professionals, developing greater intercultural understanding, and advancing US/Russian and British/Russian relations. The program includes language training, seminar programs, and extended professional experience. Fellows receive travel, free housing, monthly stipends, and insurance.

Program Highlights Drawing upon extensive contacts throughout industry, media, government, and nonprofit institutions in Russia, the Alfa Fellowship Program works together with participants to identify suitable professional assignments at leading Russian institutions in business, media, and civil society.

The Alfa Fellowship Program endeavors to secure positions that meet the interests of both the participants and host institutions. Fellows’ progress is closely monitored by the Center for International Fellowships in Moscow.

In addition to individualized professional assignments, the Alfa Fellowship Program includes:

  1. Four-month Russian language tutoring program in the U.S.
  2. Four-month intensive Russian language course in Moscow
  3. Orientation seminar in Washington, D.C., with accommodation and round trip travel included

#35. The Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program

The Robert Bosch Foundation and Cultural Vistas invite US professionals to apply for the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program. Bosch Fellows work as consultants in their field of expertise at leading public or private institutions in Germany.

In addition, Bosch Fellows participate in professional seminars, where they travel to meet and exchange ideas with key figures across Germany and Europe. Fellows are from the fields of business administration, cultural management (ex. museum, theater, orchestra), journalism, law, non-profit, public policy, and urban planning.

#36. Fulbright Criminal Justice and Police Research Fellowships

Each year, approximately two awards are offered to active US police officers and civilian staff to conduct research, develop professional expertise and gain experience in the UK for periods of three and five months.

In exchange for serving as host, fellows can be a resource for UK institutions by offering to speak to students and faculty about policy and practice in the US.

Each year, one award is offered to a US citizen to undertake lecturing and research at the University of Ulster’s Social and Policy Research Institute for three to twelve months. The internship scholarship will allow the USA Scholar to teach one or more of the following subjects (undergraduate, graduate and doctorate level):

#38. Jane C. Waldbaum Archaeological Field School Scholarship

Established in honor of AIA Past President Jane Waldbaum, this scholarship is intended to help students who are planning to participate in archaeological field work for the first time.Students majoring in archaeology or related disciplines are especially encouraged to apply.

The Scholarship Fund provides USD 1000 each for up to seven successful applicants to help pay expenses associated with participation in an archaeological field work project (minimum stay one month).

The scholarship is open to students who have begun their junior year of undergraduate studies at the time of application and have not yet completed their first year of graduate school at a college or university in the United States or Canada.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and must not have previously participated in archaeological field work. The committee will consider both academic achievement and financial need in its deliberations.

Luce Scholar candidates are nominated by 67 U.S. colleges and universities (see website for details). The Luce Scholars Program provides scholarships for 18 young Americans to live and work in Asia each year.

Dating from 1974, the program’s purpose is to increase awareness of Asia among future leaders in American society.

Luce Scholar candidates are nominated by 75 participating colleges and universities. The Luce Foundation cannot accept applications submitted directly by individual candidates.

Candidates need not presently be on campus or formally affiliated with a nominating institution. #43. HSF/Marathon Oil Corporation College Scholarship Program

The HSF/Marathon Oil Corporation College Scholarship Program is a scholarship for selected students may receive a possible total award of USD 30,000. In addition, scholars will be offered the opportunity to participate in a possible paid 8-10 week summer internship at various Marathon Oil Corporation locations. Scholars will also be paired with a Marathon Oil Corporation employee who will serve as a professional mentor.
